Katie is a geriatric social worker in New York City and has worked with older adults for over a decade. She worked for eight years at DOROT, a New York- based social service agency for older adults living in the community, first as a synagogue outreach social worker and then as a senior case assistance social worker.  A leader in the profession, and known for simplifying the complex for her clients, she also has expertise in long-term care facilities, hospice care, and caregiver support.  She is a certified Information and Referral Specialist in the field of aging.  Katie received her Masters in Social Work from Fordham University School of Social Service and her BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
